Hartman, Cynthia Craig August 9, 1949 - June 3, 2019 Born on August 9, 1949, to Isabella W. and John C. Artman. God called her on June 3, 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her aunt, Emma J. Wilder. She is survived by her husband, Herbert A. Hartman, Jr., M.D.; children, Herbert A. Hartman III, M.D. (Elizabeth, M.D.) of Dakota Dunes, SD, and April C. Clausen (Matthew) of Omaha; three grandchildren: Anna C. Clausen, Bennett A. Hartman, and Clara M. Hartman; sisters, Pamela J. Artman of Kearney, NE and Christine L. Lawrence (Patrick) of Colorado Springs, CO; and brother, John W. Artman (Eleanor) of Seattle, WA. Cyndi was a longtime community volunteer with schools, medical auxiliaries, and Omaha civic organizations. She was President of the Immanuel Medical Auxiliary, the Metro Omaha Medical Society Auxiliary, and the Omaha Symphony Guild. She was active in the Methodist Hospital VIP, the Junior League, Lauritzen Gardens, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Cyndi loved teaching young people, reading books, singing in the choir, and keeping the planet green with flowers and trees. She was a long-term cancer survivor, fighting multiple cancers and battles, all the while showing compassion and leadership to others. Above all, she was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a friend. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday, June 6th at 10:30am at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 925 S. 84th St. Private Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Omaha Symphony, Lauritzen Gardens, the Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation, or Methodist Hospital Foundation.
