Brown, Billie Dean Age 78 Billie Dean Brown, of Weeping Water, died March 17, 2018 in Omaha after a long battle with dementia. Born in Iowa City, IA, on April 13, 1939 to Henry and Dorothy (Hargis) Brown of New Market, IA. He attended school and graduated from High School in New Market. Bill served in U.S. Navy aboard the Aircraft Carriers USS Forrestal and USS Kittyhawk. Bill met and married Judith Ann White of Clarinda, IA, on July 30, 1966. He attended Peru State College in Peru, NE, a bachelor's degree in Education. He taught in Weeping Water Schools for 16 years. He was a self-employed painter until his retirement. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joann and two brothers Clifford and Charles. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy; a son, Kevin and wife Lori Brown of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren, Kirk and Jerid Brown of Bellevue, NE; and Courtney Brown of Lincoln, NE; niece, Kritseen Brown, and nephew, Alan Brown, both of New Market, IA; good friends, Jerry and Judy Blasig of Murray, NE; many former co-workers and students. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11am Friday, March 23, 2018, at Hammons Family Funeral Chapel, Weeping Water. Casual dress is welcomed. VISITATION: 6-8pm at the mortuary. Interment: 2pm Friday at Memory Cemetery New Market, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lewy Body Dementia Association or Nature Conservancy.
