A Valmont Industries Inc. worker was injured early Monday in an industrial accident at the company's plant in Valley, Neb.

A Valmont spokesman said one of the employee's fingers apparently became caught in a piece of machinery. The accident occurred about 12:30 a.m.

The Valmont spokesman declined to release the employee's name, age and hometown.

The worker was taken to a hospital.

Valmont manufactures irrigation equipment, windmill support structures, lighting and traffic poles and steel utility poles.
