YORK, Neb. — A 19-year-old woman accused of robbing a bank has been ordered to stand trial in District Court.
Hannah Sabata is charged with bank robbery and vehicle theft.
Sabata on Tuesday made her first court appearance since her arrest Nov. 28. She is accused of stealing a car in York, then robbing the Cornerstone Bank branch in Waco.
Arraignment was scheduled for Feb. 4.
Sabata was arrested the day after the bank robbery after surveillance photos released to the public prompted numerous tips.
A few days later, an online video surfaced that appears to have been created by Sabata sometime between the time of the bank robbery and her arrest. She is shown wearing the same clothes as the robber and what she was wearing at the time of her arrest, flashing wads of cash and a set of keys. Using subtitles, she brags about robbing a bank, stealing a shiny car and “having the best day of her life.”
Investigators said they found nearly all the stolen money in Sabata’s residence.
Sabata remains in custody at the York County Jail.
