Missing any jack-o-lanterns, coffins or plastic skeletons?

Council Bluffs police pulled over a vehicle early Friday morning for a traffic violation and found a spooky surprise: a truck bed full of stolen Halloween decorations.

The five teenage boys inside the truck, all 18 or 19 years old, admitted the decorations were stolen and pointed out two houses they were taken from.

The decorations, valued at $350, were returned.

Police are trying to identify who owns seven other items recovered. Anyone who is missing  Halloween decorations is asked to call Council Bluffs police at 712-328-4716.

The five suspects were arrested and charged with third-degree theft.
