Nebraska Highway 15 flood damage

A section of Nebraska Highway 15 damaged by the March flooding

A road south of Schuyler, Nebraska, that had been damaged by March flooding will fully reopen Monday, the Nebraska Department of Transportation has announced.

The road, Nebraska Highway 15, had been open for one-way traffic since June 1. But now the $2 million repairs are complete, and both northbound and southbound lanes will be open, the department said.

Floodwaters and ice jams in March washed out parts of the road and caused significant damage to the pavement on a stretch 1 mile north and south of the Platte River, as well as the bridge, according to a press release.
