A 23-year-old Omaha woman woman has been hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle after she pulled over on Interstate 80 to attend to a child in the back seat.

Cinny Tolbert, driving a 2006 Jeep Laredo, had stopped underneath the 96th Street bridge on the inside shoulder of westbound I-80.

A 2000 Acura, driven by Joshua J. L. Noble, 28, was westbound on I-80. The vehicle was reportedly seen weaving back and forth, striking the inside median barrier several times, Omaha police said; the Acura then struck the Jeep and Tolbert, who was standing outside her Jeep.

Emergency workers transported both drivers and the child to the hospital.

Tolbert complained of abdominal pain and is under observation for possible pregnancy complications, police said. Her child was properly restrained in a car seat and was uninjured.

Noble suffered a leg injury that is not considered life threatening.
