Two Omaha police officers suffered minor injuries in a two-car collision early Friday afternoon while responding to a call.

Officers Carlie Potts and Brian Hayes were responding to a call, with lights and sirens on, when they tried to exiting southbound Interstate 680 onto Fort Street.

While turning onto eastbound Fort Street, the police cruiser collided with a 2010 Ford Escape, police said. Potts suffered a hand injury, and Hayes complained of head pain. Both were taken to the Nebraska Medical Center by another officer.

The driver of the Ford, who was identified as 84-year-old Catherine Barnes, was not injured.
