An Omaha man died in a motorcycle crash near Atlantic, Iowa, early Saturday.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that Aaron Newton, 44, was driving west on Marne Road at about 2:30 a.m. when he left the road and hit a telephone pole.

Newton and his passenger, Britney Hill, 22, were ejected and the motorcycle came to rest on its side.

Hill was transported to MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. No other information was available.

Alcohol and speed are considered to be factors in the crash, the State Patrol said.
