Police are investigating two shootings in north Omaha on Tuesday morning.

Around 3:15 a.m., officers responded to Creighton University Medical Center on a report of a shooting. A victim at the hospital told them he was shot near 16th and Emmet Streets, according to a police press release. The victim, Corleone McCurry, 25, whose injuries were not considered life-threatening, had no further information.

Around 5:20 a.m., officers were called to the area of 18th and Spencer Streets, where they found a person with an apparent gunshot wound, according to a department press release.

The victim, Roderick Bass, 30, was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

No further information was available.
