NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — A North Platte man is in custody after his arrest in connection with a 2012 rape case.

Joshua Walsh, 20, is charged with first-degree sexual assault.

According to North Platte police, a woman reported being raped Oct. 15, 2012. The woman said she awoke to find a man attempting to have sex with her.

He was arrested Tuesday and was being held in the Lincoln County Detention Center on $100,000 bail.

If convicted, Walsh could face from one to 50 years in prison.
