Speed is being investigated as a factor in the death of a Grand Island man Saturday night following a motorcycle crash.

The name of the 35-year-old victim is being withheld pending notification of family, according to a statement from the Grand Island Police Department. Investigators determined that the incident occurred about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of 13th Street and North Road.

Police said a motorcycle was traveling west on 13th Street approaching North Road when it went out of control and crashed.
