LINCOLN — A Brunswick native has been named executive director of the Nebraska 150 Celebration set to begin in 2017.

Regan Anson, 37, will lead the statewide celebration, Gov. Pete Ricketts and first lady Suzanne Shore announced Monday. Anson began work in her new post Tuesday.

She has been director of marketing and communications at Peru State College since 2006. She previously served as communications director for former Attorney General Jon Bruning and deputy communications director for former Gov. Mike Johanns.

Anson holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a master’s degree in organizational management from Peru State College.
