A Bellevue man was killed in a single-vehicle crash southwest of Murray, Nebraska, on Friday.

Matthew B. Tritsch, 32, was driving a Ford F250 registered to Midwest Outdoor Design of Plattsmouth, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.

Tritsch was southbound on 36th Street near Hobscheidt Road about 7:10 p.m. when the truck hit a bridge railing, then went off the side of the bridge, coming to rest on its side in a creek, the sheriff’s office said.

Speed and alcohol are suspected as factors in the crash, the sheriff’s office said. A truck matching the description of the one Tritsch was driving had been reported to authorities as driving recklessly and running over mailboxes shortly before the crash.
