Organizers are seeking applications for engaging, hands-on exhibit booths for school-aged children during the Nebraska Science Festival Expo this spring.

The free expo is to be held at the Durham Museum on April 12 and 13 and geared toward elementary-aged youths. The expo is part of the inaugural Nebraska Science Festival that will be held at sites throughout the Omaha area.

There is no charge for a booth, but those who staff the booths must provide their own materials. Expo organizers are looking for activities or demonstrations that feature science in a unique, dramatic or unusual manner.

Application proposals are subject to approval by the festival advisory committee. They should be submitted online at by Friday to be considered for inclusion in printed materials. — AP
