The MedicalFieldCareers.com top historically black college and universities that offer healthcare programs scholarship awards of $1000 to a current, or future student at any of the featured schools who submits the best 500-word essay on why they are attending a historical black college and why they want to work in the healthcare industry.

Additional eligibility requirements for the award are that the applicant must be 1) at least 18 years of age, 2) have completed high school or the G.E.D., and 3) be enrolled in a healthcare program for the semester they apply for the scholarship at one of the schools featured on MedicalFieldCareers.com’s list of the top historically black college and universities that offer healthcare programs.

“When we came up with our list of the top historically black college and universities that offer healthcare programs in the country, we knew immediately that we wanted to do something more to bring recognition to these fine institutions,” said Jeff Lowman, MedicalFieldCareers.com owner and webmaster. “Historically black colleges and universities are such an important piece of American history and they need to be supported. We felt like we needed to do our part to support them and their fine students with a scholarship along with giving the schools recognition.”
