Two Interstate entrance loops in southwest Omaha will be closing for a month as repair on Interstate 80 approaches.

The two closures start Tuesday at 8 a.m. and will last about one month, the Nebraska Department of Transportation said.

The loops are:

  • The L Street loop ramp leading from eastbound L Street (officially U.S. Highway 275/Nebraska 92) to the I-80 collector road.
  • The I Street loop ramp heading to the same collector road.

The closures leave open only one of three access points in the area: the left-turn access point from L Street.

The approaching Interstate project will repair two eastbound I-80 bridges in the area, closing mainline I-80 there and diverting traffic onto the collector road.
