Ruby Tuesdays in Council Bluffs and Bellevue close

A note posted to the door didn’t indicate a reason for the restaurant’s closing.

After more than a decade in Council Bluffs, the Ruby Tuesday restaurant on 23rd Avenue and Bass Pro Drive is now closed.

Ruby Tuesday signs have been covered or removed from the now vacant building and lot. A note posted to the door didn’t indicate a reason for the restaurant’s closing.

On Thursday, a Nebraska couple hoping to redeem a Ruby Tuesday email promotion said they had driven to the Bellevue, Nebraska, location and saw it was also closed. The couple then drove to Council Bluffs only to find covered signs and an empty lot.

A manager from the Ruby Tuesday in Lincoln, Nebraska, did not provide a reason for the Council Bluffs restaurant closing, although the Lincoln location is still open.

Attempts to reach Ruby Tuesday corporate were not immediately returned Thursday.
