Update, 6:24 p.m.: The power outage affecting more than 3,000 OPPD customers in Sarpy County was resolved about 5:45 Monday as electricity was restored to all.

The outage was caused when a delivery truck hit an OPPD switch gear at 72nd Street and Valley Road about 3:36 p.m., cutting power to 3,252 customers.


The Omaha Public Power District said it’s investigating a power outage that has affected more than 3,000 customers in Sarpy County.

OPPD troubleshooters are investigating the cause of the outage, which occurred Monday at 3:50 p.m. The utility’s outage map shows 3,227 customers are without power.
