A man and woman who were struck Wednesday by a sport utility vehicle as they crossed a street in the Florence section of Omaha suffered minor injuries, police said.
Larry D. Griffis, 47, and Tina M. Barry, 54, were not at a crosswalk when they were hit near 30th Street and Martin Avenue, police said.
The pedestrians were taken to Creighton University Medical Center with non-life-threatening head injuries, police said.
A Kia Sorento was southbound on 30th Street with a green light, and its driver was not able to stop as Griffis and Barry crossed 30th Street from east to west about 5:15 p.m., police said.
The Kia was driven by Joseph G. Benes, 56, who was not injured, police said.
