The Omaha City Council has agreed to commemoratively name a part of 67th Street Scott Drive after Walter Scott Jr.

The council voted 7-0.

Tetrad Property Group’s Zach Wiegert applied to the city to put the commemorative signs on 67th Street between Pacific and Pine Streets on the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus.

In July, UNO announced it would rename the Pacific Campus to Scott Campus, also after Walter Scott, a frequent donor to the school.
