omaha trash pickup (copy)

Waste Management employee Tommy Whitfield hauls trash in Omaha in October 2017.

City of Omaha officials are reminding residents that there will be no garbage, yard waste or recycling collection Monday because of the Memorial Day holiday.

All collections will run a day late next week, with Monday’s pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday and so forth.

The city’s hauler is Waste Management.

The company also will take the holiday off in Bennington, Elkhorn, Gretna, Fremont and Papillion.

Service will resume on Tuesday.

Pickups return to their normal Monday through Friday schedule beginning June 4.
