A medical helicopter made an emergency landing at Arlington High School late Saturday, authorities said.

The patient onboard was later transferred to another helicopter. In the meantime, Washington County 911 dispatchers sent an ambulance to the high school’s football field, where the helicopter had landed, until the replacement helicopter arrived.

The emergency landing was reported at 11:37 p.m.

There was no immediate word on the patient’s condition or where the helicopter had come from or where it was headed.
