A man was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a road-construction accident near Papillion.

Reports to Sarpy County emergency 911 dispatchers said the man, identified as Allen Lewis, 32, of Omaha, injured both legs when he became entangled in the track of a concrete paver, a piece of road-construction equipment.

The accident occurred about 1 p.m. near 62nd Street and Cornhusker Road.

A medical helicopter took Lewis to Nebraska Medical Center.

Lewis works for MBC Construction of Omaha. The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office said it has notified OSHA, which will investigate the accident.
