It’s that time of year again. In Nebraska and Iowa, Girl Scout cookies go on sale Friday with cookie booths opening on Feb. 12. Workers, like David Esau, are organizing a warehouse of more than 1 million boxes of Girl Scout cookies, getting them ready for distribution to Scouts for sale.

The 2016 cookie lineup features Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbread, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Thanks-a-Lot, Cranberry Citrus Crisps, Lemonades and gluten-free Trios. Cookies are $4 a box — except for the Trios, which are $5 a box.

Where to buy

Cookie booths open a week from Friday at 10 a.m. at Walmart, 5018 Ames Ave. in Omaha, Fareway Grocery, 310 McKenzie Ave. in Council Bluffs and on the campus of Iowa Western Community College, 2700 College Road, also in Council Bluffs. Other booths will be open on various dates and times during the month.
