A 46-year-old Eustis woman became the first person to die in Nebraska in this latest round of flooding.
Shelly Masoner’s car got caught in moving water on Nebraska Highway 21 south of Cozad, according to Dawson County Sheriff Ken Moody.
The 2006 Chevrolet rolled and landed on its top in a ditch filled with water. The incident occurred Tuesday; Masoner died of her injuries on Wednesday, Moody said.
