Clifford the Big Red Dog barked his way through eight Omaha public libraries this month for character readings. There will be a total of six character readings at the Florence Branch this year.

Paige Wagner, a youth librarian at Florence, said storytimes are beneficial for both kids and parents.

“It’s a nice opportunity do something outside of school with the parents, and it’s nice for the neighborhood children to have a special place they can go,” Wagner said.
