The public is being asked to identify a man who was seen approaching juveniles near Grandview Middle School in the Elkhorn Public Schools district.

About 3:30 p.m. Monday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said, a late 1990s, smaller red pickup truck with mud on and around its wheel wells and side panels was seen near the school, which is at 17801 Grand Ave. The pickup had several items in its bed.

The driver was described as a white male in his late 50s or early 60s with gray, medium-length hair. The man had a raspy voice, officials said, and his front teeth were stained brown.

The man reportedly drove up to at least two juveniles and tried to get them into his pickup on the premise of them helping to look for the driver’s daughter.
