One killed, one critically injured in Bellevue crash

One person was killed and another critically injured Saturday night when a pickup truck and motorcycle collided at 21st Street and Cornhusker Road in Bellevue, according to initial 911 dispatch information.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken to a hospital with resuscitation efforts in progress. The crash was reported at 7:31 p.m. — Susan Szalewski

Officials identify body found near college

SHELDON — Authorities have identified a man whose body was found along the Floyd River near Northwest Iowa Community College.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that the man was 27-year-old Cory Allen Wright of Sheldon. The body was found the morning of March 26. The cause of death is still unknown. — AP
