Several online fundraisers or bank accounts have been started to help the families of the five Gretna teenagers involved in a fatal car crash Monday night. The efforts aim to help pay medical bills, funeral costs or start scholarship funds.

They include: » The Gretna Area Chamber of Commerce is opening funds to benefit the five families at American National Bank, Pinnacle Bank and F&M Bank branches in Gretna. Gretna Councilwoman Angie Lauritsen said the chamber and its board will oversee how donations are dispersed.
