Omahans might know the face of the new voice of the Omaha Public Schools.

Todd Andrews, a reporter at KETV-Channel 7, will start as director of communications at OPS on Wednesday.

Andrews will report to OPS Superintendent Mark Evans, who made the hire.

Andrews has been at KETV since December 2004, according to the television station's website.

He will make $124,273.78, in addition to getting health insurance, life insurance, a retirement pension and other benefits.

OPS has had a couple of interim communications directors since longtime director Luanne Nelson retired in March 2012.
