A woman was critically injured when the Jeep she was driving hit the back of a semitrailer truck that had slowed down for stop-and-go traffic on Interstate 80 in Iowa.

Jolene Hasbrouck, 48, of Audubon, Iowa, was flown by medical helicopter to Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy.

The crash occurred about 6:30 p.m. Thursday on eastbound I-80 east of Council Bluffs.

Traffic was slowed in that area because of construction.
