DES MOINES — Prosecutors have confirmed that the son of an attorney in central Iowa was arrested in connection with a September bank robbery in Nebraska.
Kirk Reisetter of Kearney is accused of robbing the Nebraska Bank of Commerce on Sept. 12 in Lincoln. Police said he left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
Reisetter, 24, has been charged with second-degree robbery under Nebraska law. He is the son of Dallas County Attorney Wayne Reisetter.
Prosecutors deny the younger man's father had any influence on a decision to file a state charge instead of a federal one.
No trial date has been set for Kirk Reisetter, who posted bail days after his arrest.
