The Salvation Army exceeded its holiday fundraising goal during the 2018 Tree of Lights Campaign.
The agency raised $2.95 million during the campaign, 4 percent more than it raised the previous year.Â
The agency set a goal of $2.85 million when it kicked off the campaign with a tree lighting at 90th Street and West Center Road. The campaign also includes red kettles at 140 locations in the metro.
The Salvation Army serves about 100,000 a year.
