Three of five California family members traveling on Interstate 80 in eastern Nebraska were injured early Monday in a single-vehicle accident.

The Nebraska State Patrol said that a westbound 2000 Chevrolet driven by Magda Lorenzo, 29, of Pomona, Calif., rolled about 1:35 a.m. on I-80 between Greenwood and Waverly, Neb.

The patrol said Lorenzo lost control of the Suburban, which entered the north ditch and rolled before coming to rest on its side.

A 12-year old boy, Enrique J. Lorenzo, was ejected, the patrol said. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Lorenzo, front-seat passenger Enrique O. Lorenzo, 31, and the 12-year old son were taken to Bryan Medical Center's west campus in Lincoln with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Two other children in the Suburban, an 8-year old girl and an 8-month-old boy, were not injured.

The patrol said all family members but the 12-year old boy were properly restrained.
