A 23-year-old woman is accused of kicking an Omaha police officer in the face early Saturday as she was being arrested on suspicion of assaulting someone else.

The officer did not seek medical attention, said Officer Michael Pecha, a police spokesman.

Pamela Hooley was arrested on suspicion of felony assault on an officer, third-degree assault and criminal mischief after police were called to a residence near 90th and Q Streets just before 1 a.m.

Officers said that when they arrived, they witnessed Hooley assaulting the person who lived there. The officers were told that Hooley had forced her way into the residence.

Hooley was taken into custody and escorted to a police cruiser. While being placed in the cruiser, Hooley leaned back and kicked the officer in the face, Pecha said.
