A truck involved in a shooting at an Omaha department store Friday was later pulled from the water at Zorinsky Lake.

The incident began just before 5:30 p.m. Friday, when police were called to the Kohl’s near 72nd and Pacific Streets. Employees said a couple were attempting to shoplift. When they were confronted in the parking lot, the man fired a gun and pointed it at employees.

No one was hurt, and the couple left in a black Chevrolet Avalanche with Illinois license plates. A couple of hours later, a vehicle was reported to have gone into the water at the Zorinsky Lake boat ramp, near 156th and F Streets.

Divers entered the water but did not find any people. The truck was pulled out and discovered to be the same one that left Kohl’s. Police say the couple may now be traveling in a white sedan and are still being sought.
