Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Family Dollar store.

An employee of the store at 6618 N. 30th St. told officers a boy entered the store around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, pulled a gun and demanded money and cigarettes.

The teen fled after getting cash and cigarettes, police said. A second teen may have been in the store earlier, possibly casing it.

As they investigated the robbery, police got a call about two “suspicious males” walking east on Minne Lusa Boulevard. Officers determined that the two boys, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old, had been involved in the robbery.

The teens were booked into the Douglas County Youth Center on suspicion of robbery and use of a gun to commit a felony.
