A trooper saw a Dodge Caravan with an expired registration going east on Interstate 80 just after midnight Wednesday near Lodgepole, Nebraska.

The trooper stopped the minivan and smelled marijuana. Authorities searched the vehicle and found 309 pounds of marijuana, 46 pounds of edible THC products, 80 grams of THC syrup, 2,000 THC vape cartridges and more, the patrol said.

The street value of the items was estimated at more than $1 million.

The 33-year-old man, of Medford, Oregon, was booked into the Cheyenne County Jail.
