CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — Authorities in Cedar Rapids say they've arrested a 14-year-old suspect in the shooting death of a 15-year-old.

Police said Thursday the 14-year-old faces a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of Aaron Kyle Richardson.

Officers were called to a home Sunday night after a boy later identified as Richardson reported that he had been shot. Richardson later died during surgery at a hospital.

The 14-year-old has been taken to the Linn County Juvenile Detention Center. The Associated Press generally does not name minors charged with crimes.

No additional information about the shooting has been released. Police say they're investigating two other shootings that may be related to the case.
