Hackers stole money from the Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority, a spokeswoman confirmed Thursday night.

MECA began investigating the theft Thursday, spokeswoman Kristyna Engdahl said. The organization has contacted its insurance agent and is in the process of filing a police report, she said.

Engdahl said she could not confirm an amount.

“As far as we’re aware, it didn’t involve any customer information,” she said.

MECA is the nonprofit that manages TD Ameritrade Park and Omaha’s convention center and arena, the CHI Health Center.
