A 62-year-old Hamburg, Iowa, man has been arrested after another man was sprayed with diesel fuel at a southwest Iowa convenience store.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said deputies took a report last month about the assault at the Cubby’s near the intersection of Iowa Highway 2 and Interstate 29.

Cleo Henry, 49, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, told deputies that he was parked at the diesel fuel pumps when the man approached him and began arguing with him. The man used a racial slur and then sprayed Henry with diesel fuel, deputies said.

After an investigation that recently concluded, the Sheriff’s Office said, the Hamburg man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing bodily injury.
