MADISON, Neb. — De’Aris Trice was once again found guilty of second-degree murder in Madison County District Court on Wednesday.

Judge James Kube announced the verdict less than five hours after closing arguments in the retrial concluded.

Trice had previously been found guilty in 2010 in the stabbing death of Timothy Warren at a house party in Norfolk. Trice’s conviction was overturned by the Nebraska Supreme Court in July 2013. The Supreme Court ruled that jurors in the first trial were given incorrect instructions about second-degree murder and manslaughter.

Trice waived his right to a jury trial for the retrial.

Kube set sentencing for Nov. 21.
