A 22-year-old man was arrested Monday at a Lincoln McDonald’s on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon. The weapon: an 18-inch machete down the front of his pants.

According to Lincoln police, officers responded to a call at 10:41 a.m. Monday for a weapons violation at the McDonald’s at 547 N. 48th St. Upon arrival, police were told by a witness that a man was in the restaurant carrying a machete.

When approached, the man told officers that he had been hired as a lumberjack by a temporary agency, and that’s why he was carrying the concealed blade.

Officers arrested the man on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
