A Lincoln woman who was shot in the head late Sunday suffered life-threatening injuries, police said Monday.

At 11:58 p.m., Lincoln police were called to a residence near North Second and Fairfield Streets to investigate a shooting. They found 25-year-old Davonnis Wilkinson had been shot. She was taken in critical condition to Bryan Health West hospital.

Wilkinson, another adult and three children were in the home at the time, police said.

Police still are investigating the shooting and noted in a press release that "no investigative details have emerged suggesting an ongoing threat to the public."

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
