A former Bellevue teacher pleaded no contest Monday to four counts of possession of child pornography.

Roger Jaeger, 46, is scheduled to be sentenced July 22 in Sarpy County District Court. He faces up to 80 years in prison.

In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dropped two additional possession of child pornography charges.

Jaeger taught seventh grade at Logan Fontenelle Middle School. He had been with the Bellevue Public Schools since 2003.

Jaeger resigned and the school board accepted the resignation in March.

In February, police were called to Affordable Computer Repair in Bellevue after employees found possible child pornography on Jaeger’s computer, police said.

Police said they found hundreds of suspected child pornography images on that computer.

An earlier version of this article mischaracterized the way Jaeger left the Bellevue school district.
