Troopers with the State Patrol seized nearly 400 pounds of marijuana during two traffic stops Monday.

About 11:45 a.m., a trooper spotted an eastbound Nissan Rogue driving on the shoulder of Interstate 80 near Lincoln. During the traffic stop, a patrol K-9 led troopers to conduct a search that uncovered 180 pounds of marijuana.

The driver, a 50-year-old man from Ruston, Louisiana, was arrested.

About 2 p.m., another trooper stopped a Chevrolet Silverado after seeing the vehicle fail to signal on the exit ramp of I-80 near Utica. During that stop, a different patrol K-9 prompted troopers to search the pickup truck. They found nearly 220 pounds of marijuana in the pickup’s covered bed.

The driver, a 60-year-old woman from Selma, Oregon, was arrested.
