YORK, Neb. — A broken water main closed York High School Tuesday.

The school's construction manager noticed a crack in the school's main water line late Monday. After finding water under the concrete floor, school officials shut off the school's water supply.

“It happens,” Principal Mitch Bartholomew said. “It's something that could happen at your house.

Unfortunately, this time it happened at a school, which affects a lot more people.”

Repairs were made Tuesday, and classes were to resume today.
