COUNCIL BLUFFS — Council Bluffs police are looking for two people who robbed a convenience store early Monday.

Sgt. David Dawson said a man and woman entered the Kwik Shop at 3622 Ave. G about 2 a.m. As the woman talked to the clerk, the man pulled out a handgun and told the clerk to give him “everything.”

The clerk complied, and the man and woman drove away with an undetermined amount of cash, several bottles of alcohol and about 15 packs of cigarettes, Dawson said.

The male suspect was described as a black man, 18 to 25 years old and weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white crown logo, black pants and a green Boston Celtics hat.

The woman was described as black, between 18 and 25 years old and weighing 200 pounds. She was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt over a gray shirt, dark pants and a light-colored hat and bandanna on her head. She also wore black-and-red gloves and was described as having a “distinct speech impediment.”

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 712-328-STOP. Callers may remain anonymous and might be eligible for a cash reward.
