An 18-year-old Bellevue woman was ticketed Sunday on suspicion of driving while under the influence of illegal narcotics after a one-vehicle crash near U.S. Highway 75 and Chandler Road.

Aleksanderia Ringler was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with injuries that were not thought to be life threatening.

According to Sgt. John McDaniel of the Bellevue Police Department, Ringler was driving a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser north on Highway 75 about 11:45 a.m. when it left the roadway and became wedged in a clump of trees.

The woman was trapped for about 15 minutes before rescuers were able to free her from the car. The northbound on-ramp to Highway 75 was closed during the accident investigation.
